Khabib Nurmagomedov Cain Velasquez
Cain Velasquez is all set for his bail hearing on Monday, May 16 and the signs of his bail acceptance are looking positive. Earlier the former light heavyweight champion allegedly shot Harry Goularte who was accused of molesting a child who knew Velasquez.
After learning about that, the fighter decided to take law into his own hands and BB BNwas involved in a high-speed chase with the accused. Later Velasquez shot Goularte with a 40 caliber handgun. The shot missed the accused but hit his stepfather, Paul Bender.
Velasquez was arrested by the police and was charged for multiple crimes including, attempt to murder. If found guilty, he can face around 20 years of prison time and additional time for other charges.
Recently, Velasquez’s attorney, while talking to MMA Junkie, stated that the bail hearing is on Monday and they are positive and there is no threat. He said :
“The bail hearing is scheduled for Monday, and we’re hopeful that he’ll be released on terms and conditions that can satisfy the court that there is no threat, which there clearly is not… Based on what I’ve seen of Cain and what I know of Cain, there is no threat.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov shares his positive wishes towards Cain Velasquez
Nurmagomedov recently took to his official Instagram account to send his support towards Velasquez.
The former UFC lightweight champion, shared a picture of Velasquez on his Instagram story and captioned it by saying everybody loves him and he is the best. He wrote :
“We love you Cain ❤️ You are the best @officalcainVelasquez.”
It’s not the first time Nurmagomedov is showing his support towards Velasquez. Both ‘ The Eagle’ and Velasquez used to be teammates as both trained at AKA gym in their UFC days. Nurmagomedov was one of the first superstars who spoke in support of Velasquez when the incident took place. Earlier Nurmagomedov had also shared a picture of him and Daniel Cormier along with Velasquez on his Instagram story. He also took part in the mass movement of #FreeCain.
The whole fight community is with Velasquez and believes that he has done nothing wrong and he should be released. Everybody is waiting for the decision at the bail hearing.
