“Hala Madrid!” Khabib Nurmagomedov unintentionally trolled FC Barcelona in hilarious comment

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has left his mark on the sport of MMA. He established himself as one of the most dominant fighters inside the octagon and retired with an undefeated record. Apart from his contribution to MMA, Khabib is a huge football fan. However, ‘The Eagle’ recently unintentionally roasted one of the biggest football clubs through one of his tweets.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, on several occasions, has mentioned that football is his first love. The Dagestani fighter is a huge fan of clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool FC, and more. Khabib also attends club matches every chance he gets and has great relations with several elite football players. Nurmagomedov recently traveled to Barcelon’s Camp Nou stadium to support his favorite team.

While FC Barcelona solely owned the stadium, they had to sell the stadium’s naming rights to Spotify as the football club is under huge debt. Regardless, Khabib announced his arrival on Instagram and was prompted by FC Barcelona’s official social media handle. While Khabib did not mean to troll the club through his reply, it had the opposite effect.

“Since 1998 I support Real Madrid, but the greatness of Barcelona no one can deny. Good luck in this difficult time,” commented Khabib Nurmagomedov. While the Dagestani fighter had no ill will, he might have struck a nerve with FC Barcelona and its supporters. Regardless, ‘The Eagle’ respects the club and only wishes it best.

Khabib Nurmagomedov once dismissed rumors of joining a Russian football club

The former UFC lightweight champion had made his reputation as one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history. The Eagle was arguably one of the best and decided to retire at the top of his game. Yet, despite being the best at what he does, Khabib has revealed that football is his first love. Nurmagomedov uploaded clips of him playing football online for the world to watch.

There were also rumors that a third-tier football league in Russia signed the Eagle. However, Khabib was quick to dismiss the news. He revealed that although he wanted to embark on a new journey in the world of football, he had not signed with any club. He also cleared the fuss about pictures of him with the Legion Dynamo club’s representative that surfaced on the internet.

“I have friendly relations with Legion Dynamo. I support the team and come to their matches when I’m in Makhachkala. But I have no plan to step onto the field because I fly more than I walk right now,” said Khabib. While the Eagle can join the club anytime, he refrained from doing so. He is more focused on spending time with his family and occupied with his business ventures.
