The undefeated lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov is considered one of the best new-era fighters. Usman is the cousin of former champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and consistently trains with him and Islam Makhachev. He is the current lightweight champion of Bellator MMA and plans to defend his title in the lightweight Grand Prix in Bellator. He faces off against Brent Primus.
Primus has exceptional BJJ skills and could pose a significant threat to Usman. Usman talked about his preparation for his upcoming fight with SHAK MMA. He said, “You know, all the time I try to learn number one thing, it’s [mental], [Islam and Khabib] never give up…I try to take this for [when I fight]. Other things I can learn. Nurmagomedov is prepared to defend his title against Brent Primus at Bellator 300 at Pechanga Arena, San Diego. Primus hoped to reign as a champion after defeating Mansour Barnaoui in the quarter-final. He will get the chance against Usman Nurmagomedov. Usman has an undefeated record of 17-0 and has exceptional grappling skills with a high fight IQ.
Nevertheless, fight fans expect a great showdown between the two exceptional lightweight fighters. The fight can turn into a shocker if Primus defeats Usman. The lightweight champion has a never-give-up attitude he learned from Khabib Nurmagomedov. He will utilize it to the fullest at Bellator 300.

In a recent interview with Daniel Cormier, Islam Makhachev talked about many things besides his upcoming fight. The current lightweight champion is set to fight in a rematch against Charles Oliveira at UFC 294 and felt confident about it.
However, Makhachev stated that he was ready for the challenge of becoming a double champion. He wants to fight the winner of Leon Edwards and Colby Covington. Makhachev’s challenging the welterweight champion could bring huge demand among the fight fans. Colby has indicated his desire to fight Makhachev. Only time will tell if such a bout happens.
The champion talked about the training camp experience for his upcoming fight. Furthermore, he discussed how he aims to break Oliveira in the rematch. Oliveira has an exceptional understanding of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but Islam possesses exceptional wrestling to nullify it. The rematch will likely produce fireworks and headline the UFC 294 card.
