Khabib Nurmagomedov is a UFC legend who went undefeated throughout his MMA career. Although known to be a serious, disciplined athlete, American MMA fighter Kevin Nowaczyk revealed that Khabib had a goofy side to him. Here is what happened:
Kevin Nowaczyk went on the Money Loyalty Legacy podcast, where he talked about his first interaction with Khabib Nurmagomedov. He narrated one particular instance where Khabib complimented his cauliflower ears. This is what Nowaczyk said:
And he grabs my cauliflower ear and goes 'This ear, I like this ear.' And he goes, 'This real cauliflower ear everybody,' you know. And I'm like Khabib's just grabbing my ear.Kevin Nowaczyk via Money Loyalty Podcast
Kevin Nowaczyk narrated the many other goofy antics Khabib played that no one expected him to do. Nowaczyk is also known by his unique MMA nickname– “Give Me Your Lunch Money” Nowaczyk. Kevin grew up in an athletic family and excelled in multiple team sports. He has had a successful MMA career, with 21 wins and four losses. He is currently riding a two-fight-winning streak.
The thirty-five-year-old Nowaczyk fights out of Chicago, Illinois. His last fight was last year in September against Chris Crosby. Kevin won that fight less than a minute into the first round. Kevin Nowaczyk has a fight coming up this April at Anthony Pettis FC 10. He will fight “Brazilian Zombie” Glaico Franca.
Khabib Nurmagomedov refused $40 million to return to the UFC
Daniel Cormier is a long-time comrade of Khabib Nurmagomedov. He recently revealed that Nurmagomedov rejected a $40 million offer to return to the UFC.
Despite the substantial sum, Khabib opted not to come back to fight in the UFC. Cormier said that Nurmagomedov told him that it was difficult not to say yes to such offers. However, he had to leave MMA, and he left at a great time.
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from MMA after his victory over Justin Gaethje. UFC 254 in 2020 was his final MMA fight. His decision to retire was because of personal reasons. His father, who was a significant influence in his life, passed away due to Covid complications. Khabib’s mother requested him not to continue fighting after his father’s death. This is why, despite financial incentives, Khabib Nurmagomedov refused to continue his fighting career and retired from MMA.
