Khamzat Chimaev had the greatest ten months anybody could ask for. He backed up the hype after going toe to toe in a three-round slugfest against former title contender Gilbert Burns. Khamzat Chimaev also got married in the meantime.


Now, ‘Borz’ has finally found his Luna and tied the knot in a private ceremony at his home in Chechnya. His close friends and family attended the ceremony. The function had one notable guest, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic. The fans remain ecstatic after Khamzat Chimaev got married.

As with all Muslim fighters from the Caucuses, Khamzat Chimaev chooses to keep his family away from unnecessary media attention. Hence, it became the reason for a private ceremony.

At 28, Chimaev finally decided to settle in life and married the woman of his dreams. It was in fact Kadyrov who was among the first to publicize the news on his Instagram story.

In the past, Chimaev was noted for his respect and love towards the women in his life who raised him, especially his mother and his aunt, who is no longer. On one occasion, Chimaev, full of emotion, recalled the regret he lived with as he couldn’t find success soon enough to help gather money for his aunt’s treatment.

On the verge of tears, Chimaev said he promised his mother to get the money before his aunt died, to which his mother only wished that he’d have the money at that moment. Holding back tears, the Chechen fighter believed his aunt rests peacefully in heaven. Any woman in his life can surely be assured she’ll be treated right.

Chimaev is also aiming to cap off the year with an interim title bout against Leon Edwards now that Kamaru Usman is scheduled to be out of action for some time due to a lingering hand injury. He also intends to have a huge money fight against Nate Diaz or Conor McGregor. We wish the young groom and his bride a very happy married life with years of prosperity ahead.
