“We wake him up, he don’t remember year,” Khamzat Chimaev reveals CRAZY street fight story from Stockholm days with stranger asking for cigarettes
The 'Borz' Khamzat Chimaev recalls a story of his brother knocking out a hassler on the streets of Sweden.

Ahead of the UFC 294 co-main event matchup between Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman, the two appeared on a podcast. Joining them was one of the headlining fighters of the card Alexander Volkanovski. Volkanovski will face Islam Makhachev for the much hyped-up champion vs. champion rematch, at Etihad Arena. This was part of the UFC Fight Week coverage before the pay-per-view event took place. While on the podcast, Chimaev chose to share a colorful street brawl story.

Chimaev said that the knocked-out person had forgotten what had happened, upon being woken up. The brothers, along with Chimaev himself helped him up and did end up buying him a cigarette after all.
Chimaev had expressed his dismay at being aggravated by drunk fans of the sport. He mentioned that once drunk, every layman civilian starts to consider themselves superhuman and hassles others. Borz also mentions the role his brothers played in it, and how they carried out the deed of protecting the fighter, by jumping into fights themselves.
A few years back, in an interview with ESPN, Chimaev had talked about similar instances. He had mentioned being in brawls since early childhood, and how getting into street fights in his home country of Chechnya is a casual routine. Fellow co-contender Usman, who also appeared on the podcast will face Chimaev in the co-main event of Abu Dhabi, on Oct. 21. Chimaev and the former welterweight champion mark their middleweight debut with this match, with Usman replacing Paulo Costa.
Khamzat Chimaev is resolute on ‘smashing’ everybody in-ring; gets stuck in innuendo
With a perfect 12-0 MMA record, Khamzat Chimaev faces former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman soon. He however fell victim to an unrelenting cruel joke, ahead of the matchup. Chimaev took part in an interview, with social media influencer Nina-Marie Daniele. The interviewer could not resist utilizing the language barrier of the fighter to her advantage with a joke.

The interviewer had the fighter play the ‘smash or pass’ game, which actually is a s*xual innuendo. Chimaev, however, fell victim to a joke where Daniele told him that ‘smash’ would refer to defeating his opponents in-ring. Naturally, the fighter chose to ‘smash’ everybody, thus inciting fun reactions from fans.
Chimaev moved up to middleweight following a weight miss at UFC 279, with a fight thus sprawling up to the current times. The fighter has time again revealed that he is the ‘money fight’, and does not back away from any hustle. If need be, he had expressed his willingness to fight anybody and everybody. Usman, who happens to be a divisional top contender, was thus the next choice to fight Chimaev at the co-main event of UFC 294.
