“Mysticusman” – Khamzat Chimaev trolls Kamaru Usman for channeling inner Conor McGregor for fight prediction
A fight against Chimaev would prove to be a stepping stone for Kamaru Usman as he aims at another title shot in the welterweight division.

There’s been quite some drama brewing between Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman for a while. Both the fighters want to take things to the octagon, but Dana White hasn’t approved yet. They continue to spew comments at each other on social media. And now there is a new drama development on Twitter for the same.
Kamaru Usman has been on a losing streak, for the first time in his UFC career. The former champ lost two consecutive matches against reigning UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Chimaev and Usman have been going back and forth since then.
A fight against Chimaev would prove to be a stepping stone for Kamaru Usman as he aims at another title shot in the welterweight division. Meanwhile, Khamzat Chimaev’s complaints about nobody wanting to face him may finally come to an end. With only six fights in the promotion, ‘Borz’ has shot to fame in the UFC. However, his frequent failures to make weight have landed him in trouble. In his last fight, he was matched up against Nate Diaz at UFC 279. However, ‘Borz’ came in 8.5 lbs heavier than the welterweight limit, which forced the UFC to schedule him in a last-minute matchup against Kevin Holland. Chimaev choked Holland into submission in the first round itself.
Following that, Usman believes he can take on Chimaev and beat him in four rounds. “I stop him in 4. Watch the tapes,” he predicted on Twitter. Chimaev shot back. “Mysticmusman,” he commented, along with a bunch of laughing emojis. Conor McGregor, also known as ‘MysticMac’ was well known for predicting fights and accurately executing them. Chimaev ridiculed Kamaru Usman for trying to imitate the UFC star.
Dana White does not approve Khamzat Chimaev vs Kamaru Usman

Although Kamaru Usman and Khamzat Chimaev are a good matchup, Dana White doesn’t approve of the weight class the two fighters want to fight. Usman has called out Chimaev for a catchweight fight. This means no obligation to make a particular weight.
“What I hate about that fight and calling him out, Usman is calling him out at a catchweight — I don’t do catch weights, I don’t like catch weights,” White said. “Catchweights mean nothing… If wants to move up to 185 and fight, we could talk about it. But trying to fight him at a catchweight, I’m not interested in.”
Thus, the two fighters have to come up with a solution or move up to the middleweight division if they intend to face each other. Meanwhile, Khamzat had expressed his desire to move to the Middleweight division before. He had called out fighters like former Middleweight champion Alex Pereira and Robert Whittaker. It will be interesting to see how the Usman vs Chimaev fight comes about if it ever sees the light of day at all.
