Amid reports that French Cameronian Kickboxer Cédric Doumbé has signed with the UFC, the famed Kickboxer has come forward on Twitter to clarify his stance. The former Glory Kickboxing Welterweight champion transitioned to MMA in 2021. He has won his first four fights and looks set to follow Alex Pereira into the UFC. However, Doumbé confirmed on Twitter if he has signed with the UFC.

The translation is as follows: I never said I signed to UFC. I said that the contract was signed (before #ufcParis) and that until I fight I am not officially in the UFC so I can negotiate with other big organizations. You have to listen well when I speak.

The former Glory Kickboxer is a two-time Welterweight Champion and remained on the top of the Welterweight rankings for many years. He has finished all his opponents in his MMA journey, similar to the current Middleweight Champion Alex Pereira.

Cédric Doumbé had a fight booked with the UFC during the Paris fight card that featured Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa. However, the French MMA Federation did not sanction the bout as commission rules that fighters with less than ten professional bouts must not have more than a four-fight differential between them. Fight fans will look forward to see if the world champion kickboxer signs with the UFC.

He’s a f**king real problem. I hope he gets over there, because that’s another guy that like, all those dudes at 170 that like to strike, like good f**king luck. Good luck with that guy.”

Joe Rogan thinks UFC Welterweights will find trouble with Doumbé and hopes to see if Doumbé can fight in the UFC. With incredible knockout power, he can pose a real challenge to most Welterweight fighters in the division.
