The main event bout at UFC 286, welterweight title matchup between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman is one of the most hyped fights in recent times. Everything about this rivalry, from the history to the impact, it’s incredible and the fans are fully invested in it.
Many celebrities who follow MMA also are picking their sides for this much anticipated fight. Similarly, UK based YouTuber and boxer, KSI also commented about his own pick for the fight.
KSI explained that in the last fight, Usman was the one who dictated the fight through the five rounds until the head kick by Edwards. KSI mentioned that he’s been pretty confused regarding his pick but given the event is taking place in London, Edwards is going to take the win.
He said: “Honestly Usman was pretty much winning most of the whole fight, and then obviously Leon Edwards with that amazing kick. I have been going back and forth…you know what, I think because it’s England, homeground. The crowd is going to be wild, I think it’s gonna be Leon.”
The momentum is definitely on Edward’s side and for Usman to win this fight in London, he will have to produce something extremely impressive from his arsenal.
Kamaru Usman thinks Leon Edwards is ignoring the last time they were locked inside the octagon

At UFC 278, Kamaru Usman went into the fight as a favorite and was winning the fight until the last minute. Going into the rematch, Leon Edwards has mentioned that he will open the gates of retirement for Usman. However, the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ has strongly disagreed to it. During the UFC 286 media scrum, Usman revealed that he’s the king and Edwards is forgetting what happened last time.
“Oh, he’s going to open a door for me, because I’m the king. He’s going to open the door for me to walk through…I almost feel like he’s forgetting what happened 24 minutes into the last fight,” said Usman.
Usman is prepared and possibly has improved a lot in these last six months. It will be interesting to see if he can bring in the same level of dominance in this fight as well.
