“Puff Puff Pass…” – Leon Edwards recalls SURREAL experience with Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle

Leon Edwards is now the UFC welterweight champion and will be getting used to the fame and A-list treatment now. However, before the Jamaican fighter became a champ, he got the opportunity to meet with legendary comedians Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle. The UFC welterweight could not have been more star-struck.
Leon “Rocky” Edwards was not getting the recognition he deserved during his fighting days. Until last weekend, the British fighter was very underrated and overlooked by almost all the fans despite his amazing performances in the UFC octagon. Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator gave Leon the opportunity to be himself and expose his personality to the mainstream world last year when he invited the fighter to the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
“Rocky” had an amazing experience on the show and had some great conversations with the UFC commentator/podcast host. However, the night before the day of the podcast can never be matched according to Edwards. Leon had the opportunity to go on one of Joe’s amazing stand-up shows and there he got to hang out with one of the greatest comedians of all time, Dave Chappelle.

Recently, Leon was on the “Anything Goes With James English” show and spoke about his experience hanging out with the comedy GOATs. On the show, the fighter revealed the details of his night out with the two comedians. “Him [Rogan] and Dave were doing a show the night before the podcast. I was like ‘Oh sh*t Dave Chappelle.’ I went to the show, it was a great comedy show,” said Leon.
Joe then called up the fighter to join him and Dave backstage. “Chappelle was like, ‘Oh sh*t, you’re that kung-fu guy.’ It was a surreal moment,” said Edwards. The fighter then said he went out to an after-party with Joe, Dave, and his manager. “Joe is driving his Tesla, Chappelle in the front seat, I said, ‘Mate, this is a mad night.’ We’re all cracking jokes, they’re just normal guys,” added Leon talking on the Anything Goes show.
Leon also revealed that there was some weed-smoking that went down given that both Joe and Dave are regular consumers of weed. The fighter then went on to explain that it was legal in the US to smoke weed. Leon sure will never forget that night out with the UFC commentator and legendary comedian.
