Leon Edwards won his grudge match against Colby Covington at UFC 296. ‘Chaos’ had made a lot of enemies due to his brash character. Likewise, Jon Jones was one of his former friends who turned into a bitter rival. Now, on X, Jones offered Edwards a wish to buy him something after he won against Covington. Now, Edwards has replied to Jones’ offer.
At first, Jon Jones was interested in presenting a motorcycle to Leon Edwards. As such, he keenly asked Edwards what would he like. Now, Edwards in his reply tweet mentioned that he doesn’t ride motorcycles often and would take a Rolex instead. Also, he said the fight was easy and the appreciation from a man of Jones’ stature meant a lot to him.

Jon Jones and Colby Covington were once teammates and friends when they both wrestled for Iowa Central Community College. However, their relationship hit a dent later on and since then Jones and ‘Chaos’ have hurled insults at each other.
Over the past few years, the two have made derogatory comments about each other in interviews and on social media. As such, Leon Edwards’ win over Colby Covington made ‘Bones’ rejoice the moment. So, he awarded ‘Rocky’ a choice of present.
Leon Edwards beat Colby Covington on the judges’ scorecards as all three judges scored the bout 49-46 in favor of ‘Rocky.’ With this win, Edwards has successfully defended his welterweight title for the second time. On the other hand, Jon Jones was sidelined due to an injury last month. He prepared to take on Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 but pulled out due to an injury. As such, he hoped to return in 2024 and defend his heavyweight title against Miocic.

Colby Covington and Leon Edwards went into action at UFC 296. It was one of the most heated fights in recent times as the former made a brash comment about Edwards’ late father in the UFC 296 presser. As such, it caused severe backlash on the internet and Covington had to face the ire of the fans.
Later, Sean Strickland opined about the same in the UFC seasonal press conference. Afterward, Jon Jones agreed with Strickland’s comments and shared his thoughts in a now-deleted tweet.
When ‘Chaos’ went after the personal life of Leon Edwards in the presser, Jones couldn’t hold himself from snapping at Covington. As such, in his tweet, he called the fellow American a ‘heinous human being.’ Here is what he said:

Colby Covington embraced his smack-talking fight persona in 2017 and has since then earned a lot of fans while losing a lot of respect among others. As such, he went all out on Leon Edwards at the UFC 296 press conference. However, he didn’t back his talk inside the octagon as Edwards came out as the victor in a dominant fashion.
