In a recent interview with English mixed martial artists, Arnold Allen, and Nathaniel Wood, ESPN MMA asked them to choose between football stars. Only, this time they had to pick the players who would win in an MMA bout. Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland were the football players in question for the hypothetical MMA matchups.
When asked who would win in an MMA match between Ronaldo and Messi, both Arnold Allen and Nathaniel Wood quickly picked the Manchester United legend. “Ronaldo would batter him,” said Allen while mentioning his pick. The next matchup in line was the next generation of superstars, Haaland, and Mbappe.
Arnold Allen, despite Haaland’s amazing physique, went with Kylian Mbappe. According to the rising featherweight, the Manchester City striker does not look like someone who would fight in an MMA bout. “Haaland’s sort of a weird-looking guy, a big lump, but he doesn’t look like he can fight,” said Allen.
When Cristiano Ronaldo broke the internet by posing with UFC superstar
The global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo might not train in MMA but he sure has a handful of friends in the world of combat sports who would be down to coach him. Ronaldo, being the star he is has crossed worlds a handful of times in the past. The athlete is famous for linking with Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and most recently Francis Ngannou.
Following the release of Ngannou from the UFC, the heavyweight king broke the internet by posting pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo. The two met with each other and Ngannou claimed to have got valuable advice from the footballer. ‘The Predator’ flew all the way to Riyadh to meet the ‘GOAT’.
Ronaldo also surprised combat sports fans recently by making an appearance at the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese phenom watched the fight with his family and was cheered heavily for his appearance at the boxing match.
