Fist fights outside a professional setting are a pretty dangerous endeavor to undertake. The risks outweigh the cons tenfold and getting knocked out in this setting can be deadly. One such video is making its rounds on the internet.
The clip is a short one and the fight was even shorter-lived. The video showed two individuals bare-chested in a standoff on a tennis court. One was in jeans while the other was in shorts and white sneakers. There were more people on the side, recording the standoff and cheering.
The one in shorts suddenly leaped forward with a one-two. However, in a swift movement of hands, his face met with a well-connected hook from the one in jeans that knocked him out cold. The guy in jeans calmly walked away while the others watching cheered. Meanwhile, a woman tended to his knocked-out body.
It is highly dangerous to engage in a brawl with a stranger on the street. More and more people are training in some form of martial arts these days. Confronting and pressing someone with some form of training while having no formal experience in combat sports can prove to be foolish. Approximately 5% of US homicides annually result from fist fights. Although fists can be deadly, the overall number of deaths from weapon-less fights, including street fights, has not shown a significant increase.
