The first fight of UFC Vegas 86 ended in a No Contest after Aori Qileng could not continue his fight with Daniel Marcos after a low blow. Daniel Marcos kept his undefeated record intact with the No Contest result. The UFC immediately sent Aori Qileng to the hospital for precautionary measures.

The UFC officials confirmed to MMAMania.com that the Chinese fighter underwent a testicular ultrasound and a CT scan of his head and face. Wang Le, the manager of Aori Qileng, accompanied him to the hospital. He revealed to MMAMania about the condition of the fighter. This is what he said.

He is okay. The structure of his testicles is okay, but the tubes around his testicles are swollen.

The accidental low blow from Marcos came in the second round after successive fouls. Aori Qileng eye-poked Marcos followed by the first low blow from Marcos. Aori Qileng returned the favor with a similar front kick. Both fighters did not take much time to recover from the aforementioned fouls. However, the next low blow from Marcos rendered Aori Qileng unable to continue.

The low blow was inadvertent as Marcos threw a front kick, and Aori Qileng attempted a jumping knee simultaneously. Marcos’s front kick landed under the testicles of Aori Qileng, and he could not continue even after the stipulated 5-minute recovery time.

Other fighters from UFC Vegas 86 sent to the hospital

Aori Qileng was not the only fighter transported to the hospital following UFC Vegas 86. The UFC also sent Ihor Potieria and Fernie Garcia to the hospital for precautionary measures. Garcia fought Hyder Amil in the second bout of UFC Vegas 86 and lost via TKO. On the other hand, Potieria overcame newcomer Robert Bryczek in a short-notice fight via decision.

Potieria underwent a comprehensive CT scan covering his head, face, arms, and legs. On the other hand, Fernie Garcia underwent a CT scan of his head and face. Potieria snapped a two-fight losing streak at UFC Vegas 86 whilst Garcia fell to his fourth straight loss. Potieria’s comprehensive CT scan was due to his hard-fought victory over Bryczek.

UFC Vegas 86 had Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer in the main event. It was Pyfer’s first main event, but he lost to Hermansson via a unanimous decision. After losing the first two rounds, Hermansson pressured Pyfer and won the final three rounds to earn the unanimous decision victory. Dan Ige knocked out Andre Fili in the first round in the co-main event.
