UFC 300 is a special and exciting event. The UFC held a special Q&A event which had Jon Anik, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, Aljamain Sterling, and Jim Miller on the panel. This was when we got to hear about a special story of a fan who overcame suicidal thoughts through MMA. Here is what happened:
A reporter addressed everyone at the UFC 300 special Q&A. He then went on to reveal how MMA saved his life and stopped him from committing suicide. To this Max Holloway responded saying:
But for you brother, tough times don't last tough people do. And you are a representation of that. Thank you for that.Max Holloway via UFC 300 special Q&A
The reporter revealed how he almost ended his life. He had hung himself up in his garage and attempted to end his life. However, fortunately, his mother reached there in the nook of time and got him off.
The reporter then went on to reveal that it was MMA and his daughter who motivated him to continue living and helped him. Hearing his story, Aljamain Sterling got off his seat and began clapping. The rest of the people followed suit.
Justin Gaethje’s game plan for fighting Max Holloway at UFC 300
Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje’s upcoming fight at UFC 300 is set to be a high-paced event. Gaethje has revealed that he aims to match or exceed Holloway’s output in the fight. By not allowing Holloway to outwork him, Gaethje plans to apply non-stop pressure, potentially disrupting Holloway’s rhythm and forcing him to become defensive.
Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway will fight each other for the BMF title at UFC 300. The fight will take place this April in Las Vegas, Nevada. They will fight at the T-Mobile arena in Paradise, Nevada and fans cannot wait for the exciting matchup.
This fight will be Justin Gaethje’s first title defense since winning the belt in 2023. ‘The Highlight’ won the BMF title last year in July at UFC 291. Gaethje knocked out Dustin Poirier in the second round of their fight to win the belt. It will be interesting to see if he successfully defends his title or if we get a new BMF champion.
