UFC featherweight veteran Max Holloway and former UFC champion Daniel Cormier share an amiable relationship. However, in a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz’s podcast, Max Holloway revealed how Daniel Cormier ditched him to create the popular DC & RC show.
While rewatching one of Max Holloway‘s career highlights, Andrew Schulz suggested that Holloway and Cormier should get a show. ” That would be a fun podcast or something like that,” Schulz said. Max Holloway replied by saying, “Yeah you know, DC is a sellout”. Holloway gave insight into the creation of the DC & RC show and how Daniel Cormier came to him with that offer first. Holloway was still active during that time and thus told Cormier that they would have to schedule those episodes accordingly, but he is ready. ” He goes f***** quiet for weeks you know I mean months, boom RC DC show, I’m like okay DC I see you, “ Holloway revealed.
All of this was done humorously, and Holloway revealed his plan to usurp every one of Cormier’s post-retirement jobs. He said, “Whatever job DC has, I’m gonna take it. He wants to be a garbage man in his town, I’m moving there… He thinks it’s all fun and games, you’re going to lose your job DC”.
Cormier and Holloway have come a long way over the years. And their friendship comes with a side of constant trolling. DC acted like a big brother to Holloway in their early days in the UFC. However, they keep things interesting and fans love the wholesome back-and-forth between the two.
