The UFC returned to Mexico City for an electrifying Fight Night event. Native stars Brandon Moreno and Yair Rodriguez served as the main attractions in main and co-main event spots. Other than this, Merab Dvalishvili also attended UFC Mexico. He earned the traction of the fans. As such, his brief moment on the live telecast went viral on social media.

In the viral clip, Merab Dvalishvili stood among the fans and enjoyed the action-packed event. As soon as he noticed the camera, ‘The Machine’ cheered ‘Viva Mexico‘. As such, he stood on his seat to give the fans a treat, and they weren’t disappointed with their support. The Georgian also came to the event in a custom dress featuring the Mexican flag.

Earlier, Merab Dvalishvili brought a Mexican flag to the UFC 298 press conference, which captured the eyes of the MMA world. Although he did taunt his opponent, Henry Cejudo, the Mexican fans loved it. Dvalishvili’s attendance at UFC Mexico and his stints have only increased his Mexican fanbase.

Merab Dvalishvili only recently won his fight against Henry Cejudo at UFC 298. He dominated the former double champion to comfortably earn a unanimous decision win. Now, he has his eyes set on the bantamweight title. As such, the Mexican fans would probably be cheering for him in his potential title opportunity.

Although the MMA community remained critical of Merab Dvalishvili’s personality in the past, he has recently embodied a new persona. He began to be more expressive, outspoken, and funny. As such, he channeled his inner Mexican in his appearance in UFC Mexico and hyped up the crowd.

Merab Dvalishvili, with his Mexican Flag apparel, shouted the traditional phrase ‘Viva Mexico’ at UFC Mexico. As such, here are some interesting fan reactions from X:

Fight fans had nothing but praise for Merab Dvalishvili. They expressed their likeness to Dvalishvili’s persona and his acts. Further, a few even insinuated acknowledging ‘The Machine’ as a Mexcian. As such, the Georgian fighter would certainly have the support of the Mexcian crowd in his future fights.
