After a dominant win in the Dana White’s Contender Series, everyone at the UFC APEX was impressed by Nickal’s performance. Although, the former UFC champ and UFC commentator Michael Bisping in his praises added a healthy amount of scepticism on the three-time Division I champion as a future UFC prospect.

Following his win, Nickal demanded a UFC contract backstage. However, the former champion had some words of advice for the future prospect. Bisping stated, “Listen, he’s chasing the money, and rightly so, Bit of caution, though. Just because you can wrestle, just because you’re doing that on the Contender (Series) doesn’t mean you can come in here and beat the best fighters in the world.”

“I’ve trained with many a great wrestler, guys almost as accomplished as him, and against the fence, it’s a different world. Of course, the man’s going to have a sensational career. But slow your roll a little bit, buddy.” Bisping added.

The former then went on to congratulate Nickal for his win and praised his performance in the octagon. He added, “You’re having that developmental contract just yet, but nevertheless, congratulations, that was sensational.”
