Michael Bisping had a warning for Paddy Pimblett on his Believe You Me podcast after his controversial win against Jared Gordon at UFC 282. Bisping believes Paddy needs to get off his high horse as soon as possible before someone else gives him a reality check of their own.
Michael Bisping in his podcast said Paddy Pimblett needed a reality check after the way the latter behaved in his last outing. After Paddy saw a split decision go his way and pretended to have completely dominated the fight, fans and critics, took to their social media saying otherwise. The Baddy didn’t just stop at that, rather he started asking Ariel Helwani and other MMA journalists to pay him for an interview.
“You’re young, you get a lot attention. Maybe a bit of it goes to your head a little bit, and you think to a certain degree that your sh*t doesn’t stink. Your sh*t still stinks. Everyone does. It doesn’t matter how big you get, because the court of public opinion will bring you down to the Earth pretty f*cking quickly,” said the former UFC Middleweight champion. “Stop with this ‘I’m the new cash cow’ s***,” added Bisping.
He urged the scouser to fight a ranked opponent before he makes any claim about being the organization’s cash cow. “Dustin Poirier, Islam Makhachev, Charles Oliveira, these are household names in mixed martial arts. They don’t need Paddy to say their name to get a few Instagram followers. The whole ‘pay me for interviews’ thing, I think that left a bad taste in people’s mouths,” Michael Bisping added.
When Paddy Pimblett went viral for apologizing to his neighbor
Paddy Pimblett apologized to a woman’s doorbell for a very strange reason. “I’m so f*cking embarrassed. I’m so sorry. My dog has just taken a sloppy sh*t in your garden,” said Paddy. This apology from the fighter was recorded by a neigbor on their RING camera. The video went viral for its hilarity.
This happened about a month before his fight against Jared Gordon in UFC 282. But this news got swept under the rug thanks to his controversial win in the UFC 282. Since then, he has been in the news for the wrong reasons.
Pimblett’s stocks have taken quite a hit since his last outing in the octagon. The fighter went from being the most-loved to one of the most-hated in a span of a single PPV event. Fight fans can be unforgiving at times but there is no doubt a worthy performance from the scouser could swing the pendulum back to his side.
