“Get back to protein shakes and porridge,” Michael Bisping has interesting advice for Conor McGregor aiming return in December

Conor McGregor is ready to make his UFC comeback later this year. But the recent tiff with the USADA has made things complicated for the Irishman. UFC veteran Michael Bisping jibed in with some advice.

Michael Bisping is doubtful whether or not Conor McGregor would make his return to the UFC in 2023. Conor is supposed to face Michael Chandler later this year. He is also supposed to go through the preliminary stage of re-enlisting in the USADA testing pool. However, he refused to go through all of that. The Irish superstar simply wants to do the bare minimum and be off to the fight instead of the entire six months.

Both fighters coached the two teams in ESPN’s latest season of The Ultimate Fighter and were supposed to fight close after its release. Bisping expressed his concern and said, “Where are we at now? May. So six months, you can fight at the end of the year.” “So the final card of the year at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas [in December], they still have seven months for that. So McGregor just has to get into the testing pool.”

He believes McGregor can make it this year, but he needs to get off “the good stuff”. “He needs to get off the … whatever he’s on. He’s got to get off the good stuff, and get back on protein shakes and porridge,… He’s got to do some work, he’s got to get training, he’s got to get in the gym, he’s got to do everything.” Fans highly anticipate McGregor’s reappearance in the octagon after having injured his foot back at UFC 264.

At the UFC Vegas 73 post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White shared the latest update on Conor McGregor’s comeback fight. McGregor has been away from the Octagon ever since his nasty leg break in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. Since then the Irishman has been busy in multiple endeavours. He recovered from the injury, recently released his own Netflix Documentary, and is also starring in his debut Hollywood movie.

As doubts regarding McGregor’s return in 2023 increased, Dana White dismissed all of that and revealed that the plan is still in motion. “There is a fight. Well, he has to get into the USADA pool first. He’s filling out the paperwork,” he said. “I don’t know how soon that will be done or what’s going on with that. That’s his business that he’s handling with USADA. But it’s all in motion.”

McGregor’s comeback is one of the most highly anticipated events of 2023 and is supposed to be one of the most highly-selling events of the UFC. Dana White hopes to book the fight by the end of November or December, he revealed in the press conference.
