“Jake beats Nate Diaz too”- Michael Bisping joins the Jake Paul bandwagon and makes a bold claim about his future

Nate Diaz and Jake Paul

Michael “The Count” Bisping is a legend in combat sports. His trash-talking and inspirational run to the middleweight title endeared him in the eyes of many fans. Now retired, he’s never been shy about making bold claims or remarks. And he certainly hasn’t been the biggest advocate of YouTuber turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Before the fight, Michael Bisping claimed that Paul had made a mistake by picking Anderson Silva as his opponent. Bisping claimed Silva would knock out Paul. Now, after Paul beat Anderson Silva, Bisping has swallowed his words. And in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, he makes it perfectly clear that he acknowledges Paul’s abilities.

Bisping responded to a video in which Tommy Fury discredits Paul’s abilities and he says: “Anderson is still a formidable opponent. Jake Paul got the job done He shouldn’t be talking shit. Gotta give Paul some credit.” Later in the video, Bisping also denounces the rumors of the fight being fixed.

The Count also gave his thoughts on Paul fighting Diaz, who had an altercation with Paul’s crew at the fight. This led to a callout in the post-fight interview. Bisping acknowledged how Nate is good at several aspects of MMA and said that the fight would earn him a lot of money.

However, about the result, his thoughts were: “If Nate Diaz were to fight him, at that weight. 200 pounds. I don’t think it would end well for him…He does it. Jake beats Nate Diaz too” Bisping has made it clear that he doesn’t feel like Diaz would do well in a fight against Jake Paul. But, fans of the Stockton Slugger know that underestimating him is the biggest mistake an opponent can make.

Several times over his short boxing career, Jake has alluded to the notion that the fighting community and many UFC fighters are afraid of him. However, there are several fighters, in both MMA and boxing, who would love to get their hands on Jake. After the altercation at the Silva vs Paul fight, Diaz has quickly shot up to the top of that list.

Daniel Cormier, former UFC double champ, is a man who knows Diaz well, having commentated on several Diaz fights. He was discussing the altercation and the subsequent callout.

He said this about Nate: “He didn’t shy away from coming up to me and speak to me as most other fighters do. He isn’t afraid of Jake Paul.” DC clearly believes Diaz and knows he won’t shy away from the fight. However, with both power and youth on his side, it’s difficult to bet against Paul in a fight against Nate.
