“He can’t compete” Michael Bisping uses shocking choice of words to predict the UFC 279 main event

Khamzat Chimaev (L), Michael Bisping (C) and Nate Diaz (R)

Khamzat Chimaev takes on Nate Diaz this Sunday, at UFC 279 in Las Vegas. This is a big fight, irrespective of the fact that it does not have a title at stake.

The early predictions by bookmakers gave Nate Diaz little to no chance. But, that also makes sense – Khamzat Chimaev was the better guy on the night of his fight against Gilbert Burns. To be clear, Gilbert Burns can hardly be called a slouch. Before fighting Leon Edwards, Kamaru Usman had rarely ever been dropped – in his fight against Burns, he was dropped early in the fight by the Brazilian Welterweight.

This just goes to show how well Chimaev has adapted against his first taste of elite opposition. Before that, however, he was finishing people in a jiffy. What comes to the mind is him picking up Li Jingliang, carrying him over towards Dana White, throwing him down and submitting him.

Nate Diaz, on the other hand, is an all out warrior. He never stops going, whether it be the first round or the fifth. Case in point, he came to life in the last round against Leon Edwards, stunning him, before losing the fight on points.

Recently, Alexander Volkanovski posted to his YouTube channel a prediction video for the three main fights of UFC 279. As everyone expects it to be, he largely touted Chimaev to win comfortably, albeit finding some difficulty in getting the finish. Surprisingly, his City Kickboxing compatriot Israel Adesanya chose to bet on underdog Nate Diaz to win.

Now, Michael Bisping has come forward to upload his own prediction video to his YouTube channel. In the video, he describes the Swede as “Way bigger, stronger, more aggressive, the better wrestler, a harder hitter and having the momentum, being on a roll and out of his god damn mind.”

Conversely, he had choice words to sum up Diaz, saying that “he’s not as strong, not as explosive, can’t compete, doesn’t have one punch knockout power either.

According to Michael Bisping, the only path to victory for Nate Diaz is a five round fight. He explained his thinking by saying, “Gilbert Burns showed Khamzat is a human. As the fight progressed, Khamzat Chimaev started to slow down a little bit.” This is where Diaz can capitulate, saying that “he’s tougher than a mother*****r.” According to Bisping, he must slow him down and attack him when he’s most vulnerable.

The very fact that it is a potential, is what makes this fight so intriguing and in my opinion, makes this fight a can’t miss!” Bisping said. The potential that he talks of is Diaz finding an avenue to grind out a victory. Finally, he summed it up by saying that his money is on Khamzat Chimaev winning.
