Michael Chandler on Conor McGregor
Michael Chandler is ready to make things easy for Conor McGregor saving him from taking the trouble to cut weight all the way to lightweight. The electrifying lightweight fighter is ready to take on the Irishman in a welterweight bout.
Michael Chandler has been on every MMA fan’s good books after his recent performances in the UFC. The fighter has come out to put on a show every time in his UFC fights and his most recent outing impressed The Notorious One himself. Chandler took on UFC legend Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 and gave one of the best knockouts in the history of the promotion.
After flatlining Ferguson in the second round, Chandler also gave one of the best post-fight octagon interviews ever and used all his energy to call out Conor McGregor on the mic. In a recent interview, the fighter reiterates his call out and lays down his reasons for asking for a fight at welterweight. Chandler has been wanting a fight against McGregor ever since his introduction into the UFC and it seems like he could finally fulfill his dream.

Conor’s been recovering from a broken leg injury he sustained in his last fight against Dustin Poirier, and ever since he’s out, almost everybody in the UFC has been calling him out. Many claims his time is now gone, and he only exists to earn as much money as he can.
Chandler is also in line to fight Conor, but he isn’t doing anything disrespectful to get this fight, talking about Conor on Food Truck Diaries, he said, “You’ve seen my handling of Conor. At some point, do I want to fight the guy? Of course, but we do gotta cut Conor a little bit of slack.”
Chandler added, “He broke his leg in half and everybody’s calling him names, everybody’s calling him out and doing all this stuff, everybody wants the fight. Also at the same time, let the guy recover.
“The sport of mixed martial arts, and especially the lightweight division, is better when Conor McGregor is part of it. But he needs to come back at the right time and not rush it. He snapped his leg in half,” Chandler concluded.
