“Slavery is back” – Michael Chandler gets harassed by followers as he shares a picture with his newly adopted child

Michael Chandler is a proud, happy father as he celebrated his win last weekend with his two kids and his wife. The fighter recently shared a wholesome photo of his newly adopted kid and received some terrible comments under his Instagram post.
There was no better way to celebrate his win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 274, last week at the Footprint Arena in Phoenix, Arizona than getting together with his kids and his wife. After his recent win, Chandler earlier posted a picture of him feeding his newly adopted son. The fighter shared this picture on Instagram.

However, Chandler’s comment section was bombarded with followers harassing the fighter with terrible comments over his son’s race.
The followers with absolutely zero shame abused Chandler for his decision to adopt an African American child. Insults were also directed at his wife, Brie Chandler. Chandler is one of the most likable fighters in the UFC and has always made sure to be respectful towards everyone. It is terrible that public figures like him have to go through such harassment by faceless profiles on social media platforms.
Why did Michael Chandler and his wife decide to adopt kids?
In October of 2017, Michael Chandler and his wife, Brie Chandler announced to the world their first kid. The couple did this with a post on Instagram. “HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: ever since @briechandler was a teenager she has always had the heart to adopt,” wrote Chandler in his Instagram post 5 years ago.
Chandler posted a long caption detailing the reason for adoption. He also expressed joy a the prospect of adding a new member to his family along with his wife.
Chandler decided to adopt his second son just weeks before his huge fight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 274. The fighter has multiple times expressed that his kids have truly been gifts for him and his wife.
