Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are ready to face off in the octagon later this year. The two fighters partake as coaches in the new season of The Ultimate Fighter.

This is Conor’s second stint as a coach in The Ultimate Fighter. He has not fought since his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier back in 2021. Across all this time, McGregor associated himself with multiple projects, TUF being one of them. After the serious leg injury, this is McGregor’s first major involvement in the UFC.

The season has already been off to an electrifying start. Fans witnessed clips and sneak peeks from this season. Clips from the new season have hooked fans as they patiently await the first episode set to premiere later this May. McGregor will fight his rival coach later this year but problems with USADA have fans puzzled about the status of the fight. The latest developments reportedly confirm that the stipulations have been met. Conor McGregor would soon be fighting in the octagon.

Although no date has yet been confirmed, McGregor and Chandler are reportedly scheduled to face each other in December of 2023. Conor McGregor has that star power that attracts attention. Fans cannot wait to see ‘The Notorious’ back in action.

Michael Chandler reveals what it’s like working with Conor McGregor

UFC commentator Jon Anik gave a preview of the TUF earlier this week. Anik interviewed Michael Chandler, who revealed that working with McGregor has allowed him to “humanize” the UFC icon.

“He’s a guy who has built up this aura about him, this mystique about him, so to be actually in Vegas with him, in person with him, to be around the man, number one: I think it helped me humanize him a little more, he is just a guy with two arms and two legs, even though he is this big larger than life figure out there in the media,” Chandler said. He also revealed that McGregor is an unpredictable performer and one practically has to be on his toes when standing against him.

“Conor is very good when those lights come on. He’s very good when the cameras come on. And you gotta be on your best game because you never know which Conor you’re gonna get,“ Chandler says. There were times when the Irishman was nice and kind, while others when he was his loud and aggressive self. “…and you have no idea, you’ve just gotta be on your toes, on edge really, for the entire process.”
