Michael Venom Page had an accomplished kickboxing career before he transitioned to MMA. Page made a name for himself at Bellator, where he put out scintillating knockouts. He recently signed with the UFC and will face Kevin Holland, who is ranked 12th in the UFC’s welterweight division.

Page recently gave an interview to MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn. During the interview, Page previewed his fight with Holland. This was after Bohn referenced Holland’s handshake agreement with his former opponent, Stephen Thompson. Holland and Thompson agreed to stand and trade without takedowns. Page did not think Holland would do the same with him. He explained why it is so. This is what he said about it.

I know for a fact Kevin, uh, Kevin Holland is not going to want to do that, uh, agreement again after the whooping that he took against Stephen "Wonder Boy" Thompson. And I see myself as the faster, you know, harder-hitting, you know, just more dangerous version of uh, Wonderboy Thompson. So, um, he's definitely not going to want to do that again. I'm happy to take, take that deal if he wants to shake my hand and do that, then we can do that. But I don't believe he's going to want to. He's going to want to utilize as much as possible to deal with me.

Page also has counters up his sleeve when Holland attempts to take him down. He stated that he would line up his new perfectly on the chin if Holland or any other fighter for that matter, tries to wrestle with him. Moreover, Page also hinted at his interest in becoming the first fighter to finish Holland via strikes. Nobody has finished Holland via TKO due to strikes. However, Page predicted a brutal striking display if he did not finish Holland.

Leon Edwards and Michael Venom Page are both British. Page is a big fan of Edwards, whom he referenced as the best welterweight on the planet. In his interview with MMA Junkie, Page predicted Edwards successfully defend his title against Belal Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov.

Page revealed he wanted to climb the ranking quickly and contend for the title. He stated that Leon Edwards would most likely be the champion when he challenges for the title. If a fight between Page and Edwards for the title happens in the UK, it would be massive for the promotion.

One person highly anticipating Page’s debut in the UFC is none other than former Bellator CEO Scott Coker. Coker expressed his happiness through a tweet, and Page was very happy about it. Coker is among the many who anticipate Page’s debut.
