Michael ‘Venom’ Page recently made his UFC debut and won his first fight against Kevin Holland. However, Page was not satisfied with his performance although he dominated the fight. Many fans had also expected a knockout from Page because of his reputation in Bellator. Here is what happened:

Michael ‘Venom’ Page reviewed his UFC 299 fight against Kevin Holland on his YouTube channel. Page said that his performance in that fight was not near as much as he can do in the octagon.

I swear to you this was not one of my best performances, by far. This was almost a tired version of myself. I can’t wait to get to 100% myself because seriously, everyone’s in trouble.

Page said he was “almost a tired version” of himself in that fight. The Brit is undeniably a talented fighter and his skillset shut down Holland’s attempts to take control in their fight.

MVP is not an easy opponent and Holland struggled with his striking. Page’s confidence grew as the fight progressed, and he even started to show off a bit, much to the annoyance of Holland. Holland too mimicked Page’s demeanor later in the fight but out of frustration. However, both fighters embraced each other and shook hands as the bell rang. Page won the fight by unanimous decision.

Who will Michael ‘Venom’ Page fight next after UFC 299?

After the fight, Page was asked who he would like to fight next. The reporter suggested if he would like to take on Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson next. Thompson is a former welterweight title challenger and knocked down Holland too back in 2022. However, Thomspon lost his last fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 296.

Page said that he believes a fight between them would be a boring fight for the fans. He argued that both of them are strikers so there would not be much going on inside the octagon. Thus Page put down the idea of fighting Thompson next. It will be interesting to see if the UFC gives its new contender the fight that he wants.
