Michel Pereira looks past Jorge Masvidal and calls out Nate Diaz for a slapfest

Michel Pereira really wants to get a big money fight as soon as possible. Earlier this month,Pereira fought Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Vieira and won the fight. It was a close contest and the Brazilian got a split decision win and went on two call out his next opponents.

In the post fight interview, Michel Pereira called out some of the biggest names in the UFC roster for a showdown. He asked to fight Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal next. While talking about Masvidal, Pereira claimed that he has something personal with him and would like to solve it inside the octagon. He said :

“And also, Jorge Masvidal because I have a little bit of a problem with him, and I want to settle it…So he sent an emoji to my wife – the emoji with the two hands together like (praying). He sent it to my wife and didn’t send it to me. And you know, I never actually crossed paths with him, never had the chance to ask him. So I figured, you know, I really want to understand, but might as well understand inside the octagon. So we’ll just settle it over there.”

Masvidal replied back and revealed that the accusations are totally false and he didn’t even start the conversation with Pereira’s wife. ‘ Gamebred’ shared a screenshot of the chat and blamed Pereira for starting a fake narrative.

With a win last weekend Michel Pereira will enter the top 15 of Welterweight rankings

After not getting what he wanted with Masvidal, Pereira now has set his eyes totally on Diaz.

Pereira recently shared a screenshot of a news article on his official Twitter account and called out Diaz for a fight. The news article quoted his old call-out which said “I really want to fight Nate Diaz, because I think it would be really fun to slab each other around.” In the captions, the fighter tagged Diaz and asked him to fight.

Fight fans have criticized Pereira for using her wife’s name to get a fight with Masvidal. Now that the chance is lost, Pereira’s motives can be clearly seen with Diaz. But it’s hard for Pereira to get a fight with Diaz who is currently on his last UFC contract. The Stockton native has clearly stated that he wants to fight a big name and that might not be Pereira.
