Miesha Tate has some advice for Holly Holm after Holm’s fight against Ketlen Vieira at UFC Vegas 55. Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira fought each other on 21st may in Vegas and the fight has stirred controversy because of its result. The former Champion Holly Holm was returning to action after 19 months of inactivity since her last fight against Irene Aldana in 2020. She was entering the octagon with a 2 fight win streak.
Ketlen was coming into the octagon with a win against former champion Miesha Tate, where she won the fight via a unanimous decision. The fight between Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira saw 25 minutes of back and forth between the two fighters with 182 significant strikes landed by both fighters combined.
The fight was decided by judges who scored the fight 48-47, 47-48, 47-48 in favor of Ketlen Vieira. The decision is criticized by many fans and MMA experts and even Holly believed she won the fight. In her octagon interview, Holm expressed her displeasure about the result.
After her loss at UFC Vegas 55, the former UFC champion Miesha Tate has offered some advice to Holly Holm and has criticized her game plan. In a tweet posted by her, Miesha said: “Not a good game plan by HollyHolm. I can say it bc I’ve made the mistake before too. She shoulda stayed on the outside & forced Ketlen to be the aggressor. Holly’s an excellent counter striker. She tired herself out by engaging in the clinch too much. Ketlen makes it look easy.”

Holm and Vieira gave their all at UFC Vegas 55. The fight saw some amazing exchanges between the fighters and both fighters showed amazing skills in the match. Coming after a long layoff, Holly tried to extend her winning streak and move a step closer to winning the UFC Bantamweight championship again. However, she was stopped by Ketlen Vieira who won the fight via split decision.
The second round of the fight saw an amazing game plan by Ketlen Vieira who almost ended the fight via rear-naked choke. The submission attempt was so good that it was surprising that Holly held her ground and resisted the submission.
Michael Chandler reacted to holly’s amazing escape and seemed shocked about the submission attempt. Michael, in his tweet, said: “How did holly escape that choke? Her head was as red as the letters on her shorts.”
