MVP And Perry will clash in London on August 20th
The lead-up to Mike Perry and MVP’s (Michael Venom ) first-ever clash at BKFC has been more akin to a stand-up tour around the country. The pair recently made a stop at the MMA Hour for a mini press conference and the duo did not disappoint with the hilarity that ensued
Since his release from the UFC, Perry has found a comfortable home in the BKFC organization. Along with this he has also taken up a stint as a pro boxer on the side, with the Triller subsidiary, Triad Combat. In his BKFC debut, he managed to gain a unanimous decision victory over Julian Lane of TUF “Let Me Bang Bro” fame. At only 30, Perry still has hopes of making it back in the UFC and this could merely be a phase where he tests out the benefits of free agency.
In contrast, MVP’s last MMA bout was for a championship, that he lost. His fight against Mike will be his BKFC debut. A kickboxer, Page is generally accepted to be the superior, flashier striker but the unpredictable barrage put forth by Perry is what makes this bout fun. Page was specifically chosen for BKFC’s debut over the pond, at the organization’s debut in London.
MVP And Mike Perry Trade Hilarious Insults in Mock Press Conference
In the lead-up to the fight, while Page has been a calm mostly stoic fighter focused on the job, Perry’s occasional outbursts of hilarity surely made Page lose composure several times. The lead up the fight saw Perry blurt out zingers like, “These hands are Bisexual” as Platinum tried to explain how he would hit a old man or woman when it came to self-defense.
Today, Perry’s insults at Page were so off the cuff that the Brit couldn’t help but laugh at jokes made on his expense.
As they were talking about wrestling and the lack of “cauliflower ears” on Page, Perry, after staring into the distance for a few seconds abruptly said, “Your head looks like a ballsack. “
This line involuntarily set out a laugh from Page and even Helwani back in the studio. Perry continued, “You look like testicles and your hair looks like gooch hair. ” All the while both MVP and Ariel were in stitches. Perry concluded by expressing his wish to “Put my fist up your a**”
Later on in the interview Perry would also threaten Helwani saying he will speed bag punch Ariel’s nose after he asked a question about being punched in the face.
