“Imagine if it was a double KO”- MMA Twitter erupts at a double knockdown between Michael Trizano and Choi Seung-Woo at UFC 281

Every so often, something humongous happens in a PPV event of the UFC that sends the entire MMA community into raptures.
The last time we saw something like this was when Kamaru Usman was knocked out by Leon Edwards at UFC 278. We haven’t gotten to the main event of UFC 281 yet, but another spectacular moment just transpired, in the early prelims. In the third fight of the night, Michael Trizano took on Choi Seung-Woo, in the featherweight division. The American won via TKO in the end, but what happened within 20 seconds of the fight’s start startled everyone.
At the 4:40 mark in the first round, Michael Triziano and Choi Seung-Woo both threw hooks at the exact same time, felling each other in the process. It seemed to be poetry in motion, as both featherweights hit the canvas at the exact same. The commentary team of Jon Anik, Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan couldn’t hide their shock either, with the latter yelling out, “Oh, my goodness!”
A double knockdown is an extremely rare occasion in the sport of MMA, with there hardly being any instances of two fighters getting knockdown down, hurt, at the same time. This will, no doubt, be a highlight reel for the ages now.
Needless to say, MMA Twitter couldn’t contain its excitement and erupted at this extremely rare occurrence.
