Flyweight prospect Muhammad Mokaev made a call-out to Brandon Moreno for a fight on February 25. Moreno is the first Mexican champion in the UFC. He has not fought since losing the flyweight title at UFC 290. Mokaev remains hell-bent on winning the UFC gold quickly. The quickest way to the title comes via a victory over the former champion.
This made Mokaev issue a challenge to Moreno. He also asked Dana White to book the match-up. This is what Muhammad Mokaev wrote on social media to call out Brandon Moreno:
I heard you need an opponent for February 25th and I know Mexican people are tough people, let’s make this fight happen #theassassinbaby #ufc…I will be in Mexico, just let UFC know! #danawhiteMuhammad Mokaev via X.

Mokaev recently closed out the UFC 294 preliminary card with a splash. He thus earned his third straight submission finish to remain undefeated in the Octagon. At 10-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC, Mokaev fought off Tim Elliott‘s ground game to score an arm-triangle choke submission of the former title challenger. The submission came at the 3:03 mark of Round 3.
In October, he also said he hoped the UFC would use him to fill in as backup for the flyweight title fight. The stated bout is between champion Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval on Dec. 16. The fight will occur in the co-main event of UFC 296 in Las Vegas. He also called out other fighters in his post-fight interview in the Octagon at UFC 294. This included the likes of Kai Kara-France, Amir Albazi, and Manel Kape.
Muhammad Mokaev trolls P4P topper Islam Makhachev’s acquaintance Hasbulla
Lightweight king Islam Makhachev recently became the #1 pound-for-pound fighter. Makhachev had almost topped the list before. His victory over Alexander Volkanovski put him at the top of the list. However, Muhammad Mokaev hilariously disagreed with the ranking. He claimed that Hasbulla Magomedov belonged at the top.

Hasbulla has a close relationship with many UFC fighters. It appears that Mokaev and Hasbulla remain friendly. Hasbulla also attended UFC 294 where Mokaev defeated Tim Elliott.
Hasbulla is a UFC ambassador and social media sensation. He rose to fame as “mini-Khabib,” earning the nickname after mimicking the fighter online. Hasbulla will continue to support his favorite fighters.
