Muhammad Mokaev is back to action for the third time in this year and his dream to become the youngest UFC champion is nearing reality faster. Mokaev, an undefeated amateur world champion in MMA, is professionally 8-0 with an NC in his overall MMA career and made his UFC debut this year back in March 2022 at UFC London when he scored a first-round submission of Cody Durden. In the UFC London event of July 2022, Mokaev dominated Charles Johnson and won his second UFC fight via unanimous decision.
Mokaev is looking forward to fighting at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. The fight card is headlined by a lightweight championship bout between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira, both of who are on a 10-fight and 11-fight winning streak respectively. The co-main event comprises a UFC bantamweight title fight between the champion Aljamain Sterling and the challenger TJ Dillashaw. Another exciting fight on the card is another bantamweight bout between Sean O’Malley and former champion Petr Yan.

As ESPN MMA’s Brett Okamoto wrote on Twitter: “Muhammad Mokaev has his next date and opponent. Mokaev vs. Malcolm Gordon agreed to for UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi, per sources. Gordon on a two-fight win streak.”
Mokaev was the first one with the announcement of his fight and said “Now officially I can say that @jmolina_125 declined the fight, I’m not surprised” Therefore targeting UFC flyweight Jeff Molina who Mokaev was calling out for some time now. In another tweet, Mokaev revealed special news. He said “Got opponent and got the date Young & Hungry coming to the Middle East! Having H.H Sheikh Khaled & Nasser the royal family of Bahrain in my corner”
