Murderer of UFC fighter Raulian Paiva’s girlfriend Tieli Alves sentenced to 16 years of prison

In 2018, while Raulian Paiva and his girlfriend rode a motorcycle away from a party, a car deliberately struck them. Raulian Paiva wasn’t seriously hurt, but his girlfriend Tieli Alves had a terrible head injury leading to her death after six days in Coma. After 4 years, the culprit has received a sentence in relation to her death.
The man in the car’s passenger seat, Elber Nunes Zacheu, received a 16-year prison term for killing Alves and trying to kill Paiva. Johny de Souza Amoras was the driver, and he is currently in custody for trial. Johny de Souza will likely face a trial the following year.
Recently speaking to MMA fighting Paiva shared his feelings about the judgment. He said, “That’s not enough time for what he did, the crime he committed, but justice is being done…Justice is flawed in Brazil, but I hope he pays for what he did. We can’t do anything else…Nothing will bring Tieli back to life, but at least he’ll stay in prison for 16 years.”
The Brazilian has been under contract with UFC since 2018. While he has varying degrees of success at flyweight and bantamweight during his career in the promotion. His most noticeable fight was against Sean O’Malley where he fell short due to a first-round knockout.
Raulian Paiva managed to turn his life after the horrific incident

Two months prior to this horrific incident in 2018 the Brazilian had managed to get a UFC contract. Raulian Paiva defeated Allan Nascimento through split decisions to win the Dana white contender series Brazil 3.
The 27-year-old has managed to turn his fortune through UFC. He has fought in several fights both in the Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions. His overall UFC record stands at 3-4. Raulian’s most famous fight was in December of 2021 when he came face to face against Sean O’Malley. He was coming into the fight as the No.15-ranked fighter in the division and riding on a 3-match unbeaten streak but failed to defeat Sean O’Malley.
The Brazilian’s last appearance was at UFC on ESPN back in June when he faced Sergey Morozov. He lost that fight via Unanimous Decision. As of now, there are no rumors about his next potential opponents. However, when he returns to the Octagon he would be looking to regain some momentum.
