“PRESSURE’S ON DAWG” – Nate Diaz sends a BRUTAL warning to Khamzat Chimaev ahead of UFC 279
Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz
Nate Diaz is a huge underdog in his upcoming fight against rising welterweight superstar Khamzat Chimaev. The Stockton native is not too happy about that.
One of the most-anticipated matchups is nearing as Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz are fully locked in ahead of their super fight. UFC 279 takes place at the T-Mobiel Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Both the welterweight stars headline the event in a non-title, five-round bout. Nate and Khamzat will step into the octagon on September 10th and are expected to put on a show for the fans.
This fight happens to be the last bout on Nate’s contract with the UFC and many suspect this is the promotion’s way of making sure Nate doesn’t go out on a high note for all the troubles the Stockton fighter has caused. Despite being a +700 underdog, Nate is pissed at the fact that people are writing him off.

“On what ground?” Nate Diaz slams haters who believe Khamzat is winning the fight
The UFC 279 countdown video shows how both the fighters are training for their fight this weekend. While Khamzat is doing Khamzat and training vigorously to “smesh” his opponent, Nate has not shown any signs of feeling the pressure. After all, this is not the first time, Nate has had his back against the wall. Nate gives his thoughts on how he’s an underdog in this fight and his rival is expected to finish him easily.
“It’s a fight as far as I’m concerned. Him being a favorite and everybody thinking he’s gonna win by…on what ground? You better take me clean out the way the odds are, right? Pressure’s on dawg,” said Diaz in the countdown video.
Nate lives by those words. If you want to defeat Diaz, you better put him out cold because Stockton has no quit in him and will haunt you till the end of the fight. A win against Chimaev could be one of the biggest upsets of this year.
Nate is coming off a fight against Leon Edwards. Against an opponent of such high level, Diaz managed to stun “Rocky” in the final minute of the fight almost putting an end to Leon’s journey to the top. Khamzat might look like the one to put your money on, it is never right to count the Diaz brother out.
