Nate Diaz is one of the biggest superstars in MMA, mainly due to his two-fight series with Conor McGregor. As a short-notice replacement for Rafael dos Anjos, Diaz stunned the world by submitting Conor McGregor at UFC 196. It resulted in McGregor’s first loss in the UFC. McGregor would go on to win the second fight at UFC 202, making the score 1-1.

Diaz was a guest on the Full Send Podcast, preluding his boxing match against Jake Paul. On the podcast, Diaz was asked about his rival Conor McGregor’s trash-talking skills. This is what Diaz replied to it:

After his second bout with McGregor, Diaz went on a hiatus. He would return at UFC 241, defeating Anthony Pettis in a welterweight bout. This was followed by the iconic BMF title fight against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244, which ended unceremoniously after the doctor stopped the contest due to a cut above Nate Diaz’s eye. He would then fight Leon Edwards at UFC 263, losing via unanimous decision. However, Diaz clipped Edwards in the closing moments of the fight, garnering praise from fans and critics alike.

UFC 279 would be Diaz’s final appearance for the UFC. It was originally scheduled against Khamzat Chimaev. However, Chimaev missed weight, and the UFC brought on a new opponent. Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson became the headlining act at UFC 279. Diaz won the fight via submission. He would then tread the waters of crossover boxing against Jake Paul. Unfortunately, Diaz would become another MMA prey for Paul, with the others being Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva.

During his appearance on the Fullsend Podcast, Diaz was asked about Khabib Nurmagomedov. Diaz did not mince words when talking about Khabib Nurmagomedov. Diaz and the Dagestani crew have had an altercation in the past. Even though they plied their trade in the lightweight division at the same time, the two never fought inside the octagon.
