UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is currently on a forced vacation due to an injury he sustained in his UFC 293 fight against Israel Adesanya. This injury has led to a hiatus in his fighting career, prompting him to take time off to recover. Strickland was recorded proposing a wager with Dana White‘s bull handler which made its rounds across social media.
Sean Strickland commented about riding Dana White’s bull, “Twisted Steel” if the handler sparred with him. Dana’s bull debuted in professional bull riding in September as part of a separate event from the UFC. “…I’ll ride your bull, and then you come spar me,” Strickland told Dana’s bull handler, and the crowd started laughing.
Dana White owns a bull named “Twisted Steel,” part of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit. “Twisted Steel” is a notable bull in the PBR world. It has appeared at the UFC headquarters in Las Vegas before competing in PBR events. Dana White’s interest in bull riding goes beyond ownership. He has heavily invested in the sport and has owned several bulls in recent years, further indicating his commitment to the sport of bull riding.
Strickland gained notoriety for defeating Israel Adesanya and taking the UFC middleweight title from him. In his first-ever UFC title fight, Sean Strickland defeated Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. Strickland’s victory surprised many, as he was considered an underdog in the fight.
