Ahead of his return to the UFC in a new division, Jon Jones is again taking Twitter by storm following a reparation demand after recent developments in USADA testing related to picograms. Jones had a win turned into No-Contest after failing a drug test after defeating Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.

Jon Jones now wants UFC and USADA to reinstate his victory over Cormier following the implementation of the USADA rule change. Famed Chiropractic Physician, Dr Beau Hightower tweeted about Jones deserving justice by reinstating the win on his record. Jones took notice and posted an image of that Tweet himself and further tweeted to establish his legacy as the GOAT of MMA.

Failed Drug tests were always an issue with Jon Jones being the GOAT of MMA. With USADA implementing a rule change, the number of banned substances found in Jones’s blood cannot be considered a positive test. As a result of the rule change, Jones and Hightower believe reparation is inevitable for ‘Bones.’

Jones wrote: “I feel officially cleared. There will be no asterick next to any of my performances. It’s good the rest of the world can see what I’ve known this whole time. My only advantage over my competition has been pure Hard work.

Jon Jones is in the final stages of preparation for his bout against Cyril Gane for the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship. His legacy as the GOAT of MMA might have a very strong case if he can win the heavyweight title at UFC 285.

Why Jon Jones was Suspended earlier and stripped of his victory over Daniel Cormier

Jon Jones and David Cormier were bitter rivals when Bones was still active.

Jones was suspended for 15 months following a doping violation after his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. USADA found traces of steroid metabolite in his system, leading to a positive drug test in 2017.

The steroid metabolite he tested positive for was 4-chloro-18-nor-17β-hydroxymethyl,17α-methyl-5α-androst-13-en-3α-ol, a metabolite of dehydrochloromethyltestosterone, or another chlorine-substituted anabolic steroid, per USADA. These substances are banned by USADA as they can give unfair advantages in sporting events.

Jones then returned at UFC 232, where he rematched against Alexander Gustafsson for the Light Heavyweight Championship and ultimately won it after stopping him in the third round. Jones is now past all his drug-related issues and is fighting for the Vacant Undisputed title at UFC 285.
