In her acceptance speech, Brittney Palmer expressed her thanks to Dana White and the UFC. She was a part of the leading fight promotion for over a decade. Well, there’s no better time to say it. But after 16 years with UFC, I’ve decided to retire. This weekend will be my last event, and I’m so, absolutely grateful for this unforgettable experience. I will forever appreciate the memories and I’m so excited for the future. Thank you to the UFC, Dana White and to all the fans for this incredible honor.

Brittney Palmer was a part of the UFC from its early days and grew with the promotion throughout her career. As such, UFC legend Chael Sonnen, who hosted the award function, wanted to give her a proper send-off. So, he handed out a UFC ring girl shorts to her and instructed her to lay it down on the floor to complete her retirement. It was reminiscent of the UFC fighters dropping their gloves when they retired. As such, Palmer received applause as she laid down her shorts.

Brittney Palmer was not only a ringside girl but a model and an artist. The multi-faceted talent debuted in the UFC alongside her friend Arianny Celeste in UFC 125. With over a 16-year career with the UFC and the now-obsolete WEC, Palmer retired from the promotion.
