Conor McGregor will make his much-awaited Hollywood debut with the remake of the cult film Road House. Jake Gyllenhaal will portray the protagonist, with McGregor as his nemesis. Recently, Marshall Teague, who portrayed the antagonist in the original Road House movie, gave an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports. and provided his take on the remake. Teague was the villain, and Patrick Swayze was the original movie’s protagonist. They had immense chemistry and also had great action scenes in the movie.

The trailer of the movie impressed Teague, but he found one thing humorous. This is what he said about it.

I gotta tell you. I, I watched it. In the fighting, the one thing I found humorous was the sound of the hits in the fight. I don't know. They are a little off to me.

Swayze passed away in 2009, and Teague had his character killed by Swayze’s character in the original movie. Therefore, they would not have a cameo in the remake as is the custom in Hollywood. Nonetheless, McGregor and Gyllenhaal have already stunned the moviegoers after the release of the streamer. Unfortunately for the moviegoers, the film will not have a wide theatrical release. Amazon will begin streaming the film on March 21, 2024.

Conor McGregor has already claimed he became the highest-paid debutant in Hollywood with his starring role in the movie. McGregor’s role as Knox in the film is the most high-profile role in a mainstream Hollywood production. Fighters like Kamaru Usman and Georges St-Pierre have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but had smaller roles.

‘OG’ Road House villain on Conor McGregor’s role as the primary antagonist in the remake

Conor McGregor has not fought inside the octagon in almost three years. He recently announced his comeback fight against Michael Chandler via social media. The UFC has not yet confirmed the date and venue, which McGregor announced to be on June 29 in Las Vegas. Nonetheless, Amazon will stream McGregor’s first film Road House, on March 21.

The original antagonist of the film, Marshall Teague, recently gave an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports. Moreover, he gave high praise to Conor McGregor in the interview. This is what he said about McGregor.

I think as far as his ability to play the character as the chief bad guy, I think he'll do fine with that. He's done it all through his career. So, I think he has a lead in on that.

McGregor is the sport’s biggest superstar and has made a fortune with his business endeavors. He recently flirted on social media with the idea of becoming the President of the Republic of Ireland. At the time, McGregor received support for his decision from fighters and fans alike. However, he has not spoken of it recently.
