Hollywood takes notice of the media’s alleged bias in covering the Dana White domestic violence scandal. Movie star/comedian, Jamie Foxx has reacted to the leverage mainstream media has shown towards the UFC president.
Dana White might have apologized for his wrongdoings at the New Year’s Eve party. However, several critics, including celebrities, Jamie Foxx and D.L. Hughley reckon racial bias is in play following the lack of media coverage. It has been a week since the uneventful incident between the UFC president and his wife, Anne White.
Comedian D.L. Hughley took to Instagram to point out the racial bias in media coverage. “If Chris Brown, Bobby Brown, or Antonio Brown did what Dana White did, the media wouldn’t stop talking about it!! What can Brown do for you?……. Be White!!” wrote Hughley on his social media. Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx resonated with the same opinion.
In the comment section of Hughley’s Instagram post, the actor/comedian wrote, “F***ing preach!!!!” Rapper Royce Da 5’9” also liked the post to show his support for Hughley’s thoughts. The comedian also went on to point out that White’s life has been immersed his life in“brutal, physical violence”. Hollywood celebrities are shocked by the lack of slander toward the dear friend of Donald Trump.

When is Dana White’s next UFC event?

White, since laying out an apology, has not shown his face to the media. The only bit of media presence from the UFC boss has been his Instagram account. Dana White got bashed for posting a silly food reel on his social media amidst the controversy.
This is not the first time White has faced scrutiny for his actions. Despite severe turbulence, the UFC boss has never failed to make it to UFC events. For 2023, the biggest MMA promotion returns to entertain fans this weekend with UFC Fight Night: Imavov vs Gastelum at the private UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Fans and media are in anticipation of White’s first media day since the Slap Scandal. The UFC boss has himself previously mentioned that there is no bouncing back after laying hands on a woman. UFC fighter Dan Hardy was released from the roster for mistreating a woman, and NFL player Ray Rice was publicly criticized by the head honcho. The MMA world awaits to see if White will face similar consequences as the previous accused in American Sports.
