Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon at UFC 282

Paddy Pimblett fought Jared Gordon at the co-main event of UFC 282. It was Pimblett’s first ever Pay-per-view fight in which the scouser won an extremely close fight.

After the fight, Pimblett during the interview with Joe Rogan mentioned that the fight wasn’t close at all. The fighter then went on to make a sneaky comment on reporter Ariel Helwani by making a joke with Rogan.

He said: “No it wasn’t. That wasn’t close. He just consoled me in the third. But you know what Joe, have you consulted me manager and see how much you’re paying me for this interview.”

The beef between Pimblett and Helwani started when the lightweight fighter called Helwani a rat. Pimblett during one of his podcast shows with Dana White called out Helwani for making money from fighters and disrespecting them. Helwani also made a video in order to give his reactions to the comments and he did it in a very professional way. The reporter didn’t make a fuss out of it and said that Pimblett doesn’t have any proof to back his accusations. It will be interesting to see how Helwani reacts to Pimblett after his performance at UFC 282.
