“Could finish him in my sleep,” Paddy Pimblett trolls Ilia Topuria for failing to knock out 38 year old Josh Emmett
Paddy Pimblett wasn't impressed by Ilia Topuria's performance against Josh Emmet and claims that he would have knocked the latter via KO.

Presently the 5th ranked featherweight fighter in the UFC, Ilia Topuria is seeking a title shot following his recent unanimous decision win against Josh Emmett. Nevertheless, rising featherweight prospect Paddy Pimblett voiced his lack of admiration for Topuria’s performance against Emmett.
Pimblett was asked about the advancing featherweight contender during a Q&A session prior to this the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in London. After witnessing the way in which he defeated Emmett, the fan enquired as to whether he was scared of Topuria.
The Baddy stated that despite ‘El Matador’s’ victory over a veteran who had previously competed for the interim UFC featherweight belt, his credibility hasn’t improved. In fact, he said he wasn’t fascinated with Topuria’s inability to knock out Josh Emmett.
He said: “Performance of the Year? Lad, he couldn’t finish someone who’s gonna retire soon? You’re messing, aren’t ya? Josh Emmett is like 39, ain’t he? If you think that was a great performance, then yeah, but I could finish Josh Emmett in my sleep.” It seems like, after their last brawl, the fighter has held onto the grudge and wouldn’t mind in future to settle the score inside the octagon.
Ilia Topuria Declines Paddy Pimblett fight deeming it is not worth it

Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria were involved in an infamous hotel lobby scuffle and it was followed by a series of online criticism. Many fans thought that both the fighter might settle it inside the octagon however, Topuria seems to have moved on from the rivalry.
During an interview with Spanish media, he said: “Paddy, you know what happens with Paddy? He’s a person who media attention-wise, he’s big. But as a fighter we all know he’s not worth anything. He’s not even ranked. He hasn’t done anything.”
He added: “So giving merit to a person that’s only where he is because he knows how to sell himself well, I don’t think that’s the right thing to do…That’s why he doesn’t interest me at all.”
Topuria is currently next in line for the UFC featherweight title shot against Alexander Volkanovski. So it doesn’t make sense for the Georgian to take on the paddy Pimblett fight.
