Paddy Pimblett’s recent unanimous decision win over Jared Gordan at UFC 282 might have just added a lot of fuel to the “UFC rigs fights for superstars” conspiracy.

Paddy Pimblett made his PPV debut today against a strong opponent, Jared Gordon at UFC 282. The superstar from Liverpool was fighting in front of a packed American crowd for the first time and he might not end the year as a fan favorite. A fight that was undoubtedly close, and some might even argue that the fight was leaning towards a decision victory for Gordon, ended up going in the favor of the Scouser.

Not long ago, Pimblett was being painted as “Dana White’s pet” for joining hands with the UFC boss to go on a tirade against journalist Ariel Helwani. After the fight, the judges of the Nevada Commission scored the contest 29-28, 29-28, and 29-28 for the Liverpool fighter. While Pimblett sure had some great moments, he never really dominated his opponent.
