“I got a good team”- Paige VanZant reveals how she achieves success across multiple disciplines following AEW debut

Paige VanZant has indeed proven that she can fit right in whenever it comes to entertaining people. The former Mixed Martial Arts athlete was cut from the UFC in 2020, after going 2-3 in her last 5. Following this, she tried her hand at a multitude of things including adult modeling and making notable appearances in Bareknuckle Boxing.

Recently VanZant made her much-awaited debut in the professional wrestling organization after months of teases and promos. She initially debuted on AEW alongside her ATT Teammates, Jorge Masvidal, Junior Dos Santos and coach Dan Lambert. During this appearance, her team and VanZant attacked Chris Jericho. She was later put into a developmental program by the AEW with Tony Khan,CEO announcing via twitter that she would be signed to the organization.

She made her in-ring debut for the organization at the 4th annual, Double Or Nothing PPV, alongside Scorpion Sky and Ethan Page in a six-man mixed tag team match against Frankie Kazarian, Sammy Guevera, and Tay Conti. VanZant’s team which goes by the same names as that of her former MMA Gym came out victorious in the match via pinfall

After the fight, VanZant was interviewed by a familiar face backstage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Talking to The Schmo, VanZant revealed how she felt after making her in-ring debut saying, “I feel great, we got the win and I feel like I put up an impressive performance and proved to everybody that I’m supposed to be a professional wrestler too” detailing how she definitely understands there is room for improvement and wouldn’t rate her performance to highly.

She was then asked about how she manages to be good at all things at once, to which VanZant replied, “I got a good team, I pay them for what they do so that I can focus on training” while also revealing she has her third Bareknuckle fight already booked for July. VanZant then revealed that she wouldn’t want to limit herself to a single career path and will continue to strive towards getting better at multiple fields
