Petr Yan won’t tolerate any form of slander from the rising bantamweight star, Sean O’Malley at the UFC 280 pre-fight press conference. The Russian bantamweight is quick to fire a nasty comment towards the “Suga Show” at the presser.
It is safe to say the tensions are high between Petr Yan and Sean O’Malley ahead of their bantamweight battle. The two 135-pounders have been going back and forth for a long time and now finally have the opportunity to say mean things to each other’s faces. The two are making the most of this opportunity.
UFC 280 pre-fight press conference is already underway and all the stars from the card are present on the stage. O’Malley being the entertainer he is started to troll his Russian opponent for being short. Yan did not entertain any height slander and immediately went on to fire insults toward the American star.
“It is not about the height. Look at him, he is like a wh*re on the side of the road,” said Yan with a straight face clearly upset by O’Malley’s comments about the height difference. “Suga” couldn’t help but smirk at the brutal comment from his rival ahead of their much-anticipated fight. Safe to say the two will bring fireworks to the octagon.
How much of a reach advantage does Sean O’Malley have over Petr Yan?
Yan vs O’Malley is a very interesting matchup as the former faces a huge step up in competition from his previous opponents. “Suga” has barely faced any ranked fighters in his time in the UFC but now will face the number one contender in the bantamweight division.

One of the main reasons this fight will be fun to watch is because of the height difference between the two fighters. To be fair, O’Malley towers over almost the entire 135-division standing tall at 5’11”. Petr Yan is no exception. The Russian stands at a height of 5’7” and is massively at disadvantage against O’Malley when it comes to height and range.
The rising bantamweight has a reach advantage of over 5” when compared to “No Mercy”. Yan has a reach of 67” while O’Malley has a reach of 72” (as per UFC stats). It will be interesting to see how the two fighters tackle each other in the octagon on the main card at UFC 280.
