Rampage Jackson has weighed in on the fight he had with Jon Jones. He said, rather declared, that even though Jones is a great fighter and a great wrestler, he is the Dirtiest Fighter. So dirty that UFC had to change the design of the gloves.
When Jackson fought with Jones, Jones won that fight. But he wasn’t happy that he lost, but more than the loss it was the way he won that hurt him more. He thought that for a fighter who was as skillful as him, why did he have to use dirty tactics to win.
“He is a great fighter but imma be honest…he is the dirtiest fighter. You do anything good, he used to poke your eyes…he called them oblique kicks, but he was kicking you straight on the kneecaps”, Jackson said. He said that his tactics were so dirty that he forced UFC to change the design of the gloves, in such a way that fighters cannot keep their fingers straight to poke eyes.
Jon Jones will be fighting against Ciryl Gane for the vacant heavyweight title. Let’s hope that Jon Jones wouldn’t be pushed to the corner so much that he would have to use dirty tactics. But it is for sure that it’ll be a treat for the fans to see him back in the octagon.
