So, there wasn’t an instance where he was knocked out in his professional career. However, the internet dug up an old video of ‘The Eagle’ where he gets knockdown and wrongfully portrayed it as a ‘knockout.’

In the video, Khabib Nurmagomedov went up against an unknown opponent in a Sambo tournament. His opponent unleashed a relentless onslaught on Nurmagomedov, pressuring him to back off. As such, he caught him with a head kick to knock ‘The Eagle’ down. But, the haters on the internet claimed it to be a knockout. Even one fan accused Nurmagomedov’s father of setting up fights to pad the record of ‘The Eagle.’

However, Khabib Nurmagomedov managed to keep his witts after the knockdown as he jumped back up in a split second. As such, he went on to put up a competitive fight to get the victory. But, the video was smartly trimmed to the initial nine seconds of the fight to spread that he got knocked out falsely.

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from professional fighting in 2020. He retired on top as a UFC champion and had also equaled the record for most title defenses in lightweight (3). Also, he had notable wins over Conor McGregor, Edson Barboza, Rafael dos Anjos, and more. However, the haters found various reasons to state he had a padded record. But in reality, he was a dominant fighter who never gave up his ground. Currently, he accompanied his longtime friend Islam Makhachev in grabbing the UFC gold and continued to serve as a mentor for the Dagestani fighter.

But his haters found an old video of ‘The Eagle’ getting knocked down and rejoiced at the moment, spreading misinformation.

The video featured a young Khabib Nurmagomedov getting hit with a clean head kick. As such, the kick knocked him down. But he jumped right back on his feet to continue fighting. However, the haters trimmed the video and claimed the head kick knocked out ‘The Eagle’. As such, a Twitter warfare started between his fans and haters.
