Ronda Rousey claims WWE Fans are far superior to “Bandwagon” UFC Fans in respecting legends
Rousey feels WWE Fans are more loyal
Ronda Rousey, one of the greatest women to grace the sport of Mixed Martial Arts may not hold a very high opinion of you as an MMA fans. The superstar who took the sport and frankly the world by storm, knows better than most about how fans adore the fighters and how quickly it could all vanish.
During a recent stream on her YouTube channel, Rousey detailed how she feels that pro-wrestling fans are more loyal to their favorite talent than the average UFC fan is to their favorite fighter.
Rousey enjoyed the most rapid rise in popularity among athletes in the 20th century, only being rivaled by that of fellow MMA superstar, Conor McGregor. While she had throngs of supporters while on her incredible run, finishing the entire division with armbars in less than a round, she felt the moment she couldn’t achieve the same, volatile fans simply started evaporating off.
“I would say that WWE fans care more about the wrestlers than UFC fans care about the fighters like UFC fans have much less respect for veterans and the legends of the sport than the WWE fans”, said Rousey as she described most UFC enthusiasts to be ” Bandwagon Fans”
Ronda Rousey takes offense to disrespect targeting MMA Legends like GSP, Anderson Silva, and Forrest Griffin
Ronda Rousey expressed that she felt the moment you’re not replicating consistent results while staying at the top, fans of the UFC could very well abandon you instantly saying, “The second you’re not on top, you’re dead to them, “ while she credited fans of the WWE for appropriately respecting legends no matter how long ago their contribution towards the sport was made.
“A lot of UFC fans now I’ll be like, ‘Forrest Griffin Sucks’ it’s like you whole the existence of the entire sport to him, it’s s*** like that, like Anderson Silva Sucks, or GSP sucks, ” Said Ronda as she described these men to be the ones who elevated the sport by being on top for a period and that she found the disrespect thrown their way unappealing.

Rousey knows what it’s like to be abandoned by UFC fans as she suffered a similar fate after she lost her title. Right after her loss to Holly Holm, she was described as a “one trick pony” who couldn’t adapt to Holm’s superior striking. While she did have enough fans fare for her return against Amanda Nunes, Rousey suffered a brutal loss and was subsequently ostracized by UFC fans.
Shortly after, when she contemplated retiring and moving into pro wrestling, a large chunk of fans entirely dismissed her place among the greats of MMA. Do you agree with Rousey’s view of MMA fans being fickle? Let us know!
