“Run it,” Sean Brady shifts his callout from Stephen Thompson to Dustin Poirier after being suddenly called back by The Diamond
Sean Brady- Dustin Poirier
UFC Welterweight Sean Brady might look up to the rankings and suit himself with a higher-ranked opponent for his next fight, but won’t mind a big name either on the way it seems. Brady is undefeated right now and has secured the biggest win of his career in his last fight against Michael Chiesa. Brady is now the #9 ranked welterweight and ahead of him lie the likes of former title challengers like Stephen Thompson and Jorge Masvidal and newly ranked in the top 5 like Belal Muhammad and Khamzat Chimaev.
Brady recently called out Stephen Thompson after Thompson responded to former interim-lightweight champion Dustin Poirier’s ‘International Call out’ where Poirier would be ready to fight anybody on July 30, 2022. On UFC’s calendar, that is the date for UFC 277.
The fights made so far on that fight card are an interim flyweight title fight between Kai Kara France and Brandon Moreno, a middleweight bout between Luke Rockhold and Paulo Costa, and a light heavyweight bout between Muhammad Ankalaev and Anthony Smith and many more.

Poirier answers Sean Brady intervening between him and Thompson, Brady responds
When Brady called out Thompson who was calling out Poirier, Poirier wrote on Twitter “I’ll fight you too cuh” indicating that it’s been long since Poirier last fought and is therefore in dire need to fight to satiate his competitive hunger in the fight game, so he will even fight Brady if Brady is ready for him.
Brady responds by tweeting in the comments section “Run It [blowing air emoji]” So Brady can keep his rise to rankings on hold to add a legendary name like that of Poirier to his resume. There’s a strong possibility that the money to fight might increase.
What do you make of this little exchange between Brady and Poirier? Who do you think would win if they both fight? Do you think Poirier will fight for another world title? Also, where do you think Brady’s potential will peak, do you think he will become the UFC champion? Who do you think has the potential to end Brady’s undefeated record, do you think it’s Poirier himself?
